Named after a girl I used to know....
As of right now I removed the reserve gas tank as well as the air box. I am running 5/8 fuel line down to 1/4 then a fuel filter before the petcock. Between petcock and fuel pump I am throwing in another fuel filter. I am also going to replace all the rubber fuel lines. Uni filters on the carbs. I am throwing on a spectre breather or 2 to round that off. With all that off the bike I am going to remount the electrical under the seat. I don't intend to chop the rear frame but I am going to have to smooth out the rear fender sooner than later. I am also cleaning out the coolant system, replacing the radiator hoses and custom modding the t-stat to a lower temp. Its going to get a set of 0'' rise and slight pull back bars I am not sure when. I really hate the stock bars. The exhaust is coming off soon and getting welded together, cleaned, a few coats of black paint and finally header wrap. Any feedback? Suggestions? Comments? |

Great project plans. I hope that you keep us posted with threads and photos as you move along with it. You have a timeline for getting it done? Are the flames going to be history? I've taken the liberty of showing your bike in all of its' glory.

wow thank you all for the comments!
harvey: thank you and i will keep pics coming as i clear her up and get her up to being a daily rider again. flyod: the flames will be gone along with the flames on the tank. i am not sure what color but black seems obvious. i am planning on having the coolant system, fuel lines and remounting of all the electrical along with a little cutting/grinding/painting of the frame for a rest of the week/weekend project. gauge: thanks for the support and AWESOME shadow!! |
