I have had two similar experiences. First time taking my bike out of the garage after trailering it home I had to squeeze between two cars. I got to close to my car and in trying to steer back I oversteered and the clutch lever ran all the way down the fender of my new Infiniti M37x. Bike was fine but I was unhappy
Second experience: I came over a hill to a sharp corner, got wide and hit some gravel. Luckily I had slowed it down quite a bit but the bike still went down. This was after owning it for about a month. I had engine guards on which saved me all kinds of trouble but my light bar and windshield were ruined and my saddle bag is completely scratched up. All told, about $1,000 worth of damage. Bike wasn't fine but I was so I am happy
