i switched to regular for my bike.
i don't have exact numbers before or after, so i would say overall, the only difference i notice is in my wallet! costs less, has the same amount of enthanol, and gets almost the same gas mileage (regular might get better mpg, gasp*) |

I have an RS as well and I just burn regular. I think the regular at the Shell I go to is 87 octane. Now that I have had the bike for a while I was thinking of trying a couple tanks of higher octane to see if I noticed any difference. I was going to maybe try the mid-grade which is 89 I think. When I bought the bike I asked the dealer about fuel and he told me that if I was riding it all the time that regular would be fine.

Is your Shell fuel "enriched" with inert nitrogen? Or is that BS advertising only directed at ignorant Americans?
