Hello from Minnesota!
Just got back into riding after a 20 year +/- hiatus, and I now wonder what took me so long to get back on that iron horse! Just got an '01 750 shadow spirit about 2 weeks ago, and even though it's been so long since I've ridden, I'm able to get around pretty well. As they say, it's like "riding a bike", you never forget those basic skills. I have been taking it slow, trying to gain more and more confidence as I go along. I have already ridden it to work a couple of times, and of course, I'm extra careful during the commute, as people just don't seem to be aware of cycles. It helps though, that I'm running Vance and Hines straighshots, so if I'm close to someone, they definitely know I'm there. Especially if I roll on a little more throttle (hehe) I'll post pics of the ride soon. I'm glad to be a part of the forum! Ben |
