So im here in calgary alberta, and i got my first bike an 1983 honda shadow 750 hoping it wont be too much of a challenge. So far im chopping it into a bobber and it needs a bunch of other work but what i have managed so far is new fuel filter and fuel lines, carbs are cleaned and painted and rear fender and light assembly painted as well. Next up paint for the tank and front fender and head light and a few other things. So the thing wrong with the bike still is that it wont start, turns over strong but no fuel gettin to carbs, anyone know where i could get a new fuel pump for under like 50$ or if it is the fuel pump?

Have you tried to jump the fuel pump directly to the battery to be sure it is not working? Do a search on here for fuel pump relay bypass and you will find the instructions. If you are positive the fuel pump is bad, I would take Btrivitt1's advice, and by the way, the pump from a early 80's goldwing works also. It is a little bigger than yours but the pumping pressure is the same.
