Memphis Shades windshield and Mustang seat - those were the first upgrades. Since then I've gone a little nuts and added many more accessories. Vance & Hines exhaust is next on the list.

My buddy on here, mlr, put some pipes on his Shadow about a month ago. It completely changed his riding experience! I've got an exhaust on my Harley and my 9's exhaust is stock and I can tell you it does change the experience.

Windscreen, then low sissybar and rack. Next, new seat, though not for me so much as for my wife. I know I'm the exception, but I like the stock exhaust. Never was much interested in making noise.

I just bought an 84 vt700c (my first bike) last friday. I've already bought a pair of slash cut 2 into 2 mac exhausts...and love them
I'm really interested in putting saddlebags on my bike next. I am also wondering if I should bother putting the windshield on? I don't like the look of the bike with the windshield on but the bike came with it off, and have never tried riding it with it on. I imagine it would make a big difference when riding on the freeway for extended periods of time, but so far, living in a city, I am at a lot of stop and go traffic. |

Freeway bars, then freeway pegs, then bags.
