Default Wife decided to learn to ride

Had a few bikes over the years, but ended up selling the last one and buying a convertible almost 20 years ago so that my lovely wife would stop worrying about me on the bike.

Got the bike itch again so I decided to put the car up for sale and buy another bike, a nice cruiser this time. Out of the blue my wife decides that since we've empty nested, riding would be something for us to do together. Well, after I fell off my chair, I got up and then we went and bought this new 2011 for her

I'm here on this forum learning about her shadow. Lots of info here.

She certainly rocked my world with this. If only we didn't have to wait 5 months before we can ride. Darn winters!

Very nice! I lived in LA for 7 years without a car () and finally caved to my boyfriend's idea of me a getting a bike instead. Should've done it 7 years ago.

My wife started riding with me last year.....I love it but I have to say be extra careful. I find myself watching her and making sure she is being safe more than I'm watching the road sometimes.

My wife encouraged me to get back on a bike this past year, but insists she has no interest in learning to ride. The other day she tells me, out of the blue, that if we get a second bike, we're going to need a garage. (My bike resides in the shed.) Hmmmm. Whatever could she mean? Personally, I would love being able to do this with my wife. It would definitely be better than riding 2up.
