ive got an 86 vt1100c that i bought a while ago. when i bought it, it was having some problems with backfiring and running really rich. i took off the carbs and it turns out the last owner had the wrong jet seats. i bought new ones and installed em.
sounds and smells better with no more backfire during decel. but now the bike will idle fine and i can rev the engine as long as i roll onto the throttle super slowly. but if i roll it quickly or snap the throttle open it just sputters and dies. I am thinking it may be my vacuum hoses hooked up wrong as i didnt label them but took pictures on my friends cellphone which he promptly lost. I read that one end should hang loose for atmospheric pressure, but i have been tinkering plugging and unlugging all the ends and nothing. seems not even to affect the way it runs at all. I'm totally stumped. can anyone help me? |
