Hard to really get down on a cruiser due to seating position. To really carve a corner you need to lower the center of gravity by getting your butt about halfway off the seat and leaning off the bike. This lowers cog and allows you to turn harder while not leaning the bike over further, increasing the contact patch on your tires. Search 'cornering bible' on YouTube to see a great vid by Keith code, author of twist of the wrist. He explains countersteer, trail braking and body position very well.

I hear that, I own a liter supersport, an 1100 shadow and am in the process of finishing my cb750 cafe build. Bored .178 over, 12:1 pistons, racing cam chain/tensioner, hot street cam, heavy duty springs, racing valves, port and polish, lightened rotor, heavy duty clutch....3 yrs in the making, should be done this winter....I've got 3x the value of the bike in the motor alone Lmao....should embarrass the hell out of some Harleys tho...with a 40 yr old bike!
