Default When to shift?

Hey y'all I was just wondering when exactly to shift a 750 spirit, since there's no tach!

Best to wait till you start floating valves, then hold the throttle wide open when you shift and dump the clutch really hard.

Or look closer at your spedo, it probably has the redline speeds for each gear marked like my 1100.

On a stock bike yes...I can hit 30 in first gear easy...if you have aftermaket pipes/jet kit/sprockets..your shifting will change...it's just like a car you will learn to shift by feel and sound of your bike..

These speeds are too low. Add at least 10mph to each shift.

Really?? It's probably because the aftermarket exhaust. I never rode the bike with stock exhaust so I went by ear and by owners manual even though the manual has you shifting every 10 km/h.
(12, 19, 25, 31-mph)

IMHO the shift points listed in the manual are too low. If I shifted that low I would be lugging the motor.
