Default Hello from good ol South Carolina

Hello everyone, been browsing this website for a few months reading threads helping myself learn my way around a bike. I got into a wreck a month ago and have run into some problems so I thought I should join and get some good tips and advice from some old pros ha. I am putting this up from my tablet so I am going to put up a picture of my bike later on. I have an 84 shadow 500, learned how to ride her after work one day (it was midnight and had no headlight lol), and been in love every since. Taught myself everything through trial and error. Um I guess just ask if you have any questions. I'm pretty open and love to talk. Plus none of my friends have bikes so I have no one to ride with or really talk/get help from. Look forward to talking to yall

Where you at in SC?
I'm in the Summerville/Charleston area.
Good luck with the ride!

Sent from the edge of sanity with crayons because pencils are too pointy.

I live in Columbia, where it's nothing but straight roads for the most part. I wouldn't mind taking an MSF course though but I work 330 to midnight 6 sometimes 7 days a week so time wise it can be hard making plans in advance. Oh and I rode the bike up and down the street in front of my house, not throughout the city or anything like that haha. We had to jump start it by pushing it down the hill. I have a random question though.. Has anyone heard of a motorcycle beeping (like a large truck backing up) when you put the turn signals on? I had to rewire the headlight because it was a jumbled mess and I am guessing someone tried to wire an aftermarket piece to it. I looked at the wiring under the seat and, well, lets just say it wasnt much better. I know this should probably be under the tech threads but I need the 3 posts to be able to do so.
