Default Noob from Northern California

Hello All.

I'm new to riding, just purchased a 1997 Shadow 1100 ACE. Pictures will come once I get it cleaned up, it's been sitting since 2005. I enjoy reading all the posts on this site, my wife says I'm addicted.

I'm also new to riding. I'm 31 and it's something I have wanted to do for..I don't know the last 15 years.

Welcome to the forum. I got my 1995 Shadow 1100 ACE back in June and LOVE IT!!! My wife says I'm addicted too.

Congratulations on finding a bike. I had to have my carbs cleaned and my fuel tank coated as rust had pretty much taken over from sitting around so much. Also had to replace the fuel pump as the diaphragm had dry-rotted. Find yourself a reputable mechanic, unless you're going to do your own work.

Good luck.

Welcome to the forum. I also have a 96 ACE 1100. These bikes are a jem and some day should be worth a little change because of the low production. The single pin was only produced for a few years. Enjoy your new ride and be safe out there.
