What side do you mount your bike from?

Left side. Think I've thrown my left leg over from the right maybe twice in 18 years of riding. Habit I guess.

I also grew up with horses. Mount and dismount from the left. No one ever explained to me Why the horses wanted it that way ....

I have from the left side but am thinking about changing that since the steering security lock is on the right side. I am also thinking of installing my helmet lock on the right side since the original helmet lock is obstructed by hard shelled saddle bags.

Left side....but I generally get off the bike on the right side. Not always, but usually.

Years later I went to Motor Officer School (Motorcycle COP school) They yelled at me told me to "when ON duty ALWAYS mount up & dismount on the right!!!!" reason given was....... when I pull someone over I stop my bike behind the car faceing forward...if I dismount on the left my BACK will be in on coming traffic,,,so dismount from the right my back will be along the shoulder or guard rail...area less likely to be hit by oncomeing traffic Remember kids More Cops are killed by CARS than Bullets...That being said .... LOL I still mount & dismount on the left...no matter how hard I try I just can't let go of JOHN WAYNE
