Hey all. New to the forums and to motorcycles in general.
So we just inherited a 1985 Shadow VT1100 that's been sitting for around 4 years. I have a whole laundry list of things I need to do to get it on the road again, but first I'm trying to get it running. Firstly I'm going to get the old gas out and get some fresh in there. It sounds like it's still in liquid form, whats the best way to drain it and do I need to clean the tanks somehow? (I already have the seats off, and the top tank loose but still connected) I was thinking disconnect the fuel line at the fuel pump and just let it drain. The petcock is currently open, and leaks if I try to close it. |
