Mine came with floorboards and I got used to them real quick.
Now when I ride a friends bike without them, I notice it is harder to find the pegs when bringing up my feet.
I also added some pegs to the engine guard for when I want to stretch out.

There us an adjustment for the brake lever. You just need to adjust is up some. Should be a a rod or turnbuckle underneath to do the adjustment.

I am a short guy. Just purchased a 2007 Shadow Spirit this weekend which came with the floorboards. I love them. I cannot be able reach the engine guard so the floorboards make for a great ride.

Wouldn't ride anymore without them. I used to get pains in the arches of my feet after riding all day long (500 mile 11 hr days). Now I don't get any foot pains and can ride all week long (done 800 mile days on the shadow).

I like my pegs. Having my feet flat would almost bug me. That and I have thick boots so on tight turns my heel drags first as a warning that I'm about to scrape the pegs. Helped me get rid of the "AH" factor of suddenly hearing scraping on a turn.

I have floorboards on my 07 Aero and it is the most comfortable thing in the world. Highly recommend them.
