Default Fresh rider on first bike!

Hey guys! Just got my first bike a month ago - '84 vt700c. Bought from an uncle's friend who bought it from a friend who had it sitting in a garage for the last 7 years. 11k miles, only a couple little dings and scrapes and everything worked great until it sat through a 3 day storm last week (covered, at least). I've only gotten to ride a handful of times - mostly to and from work - but I've got the bug and I know I'll be riding til I die.

Yeah I tried firing it up a couple days ago and I'm not getting a spark on any of the plugs. I've searched around and it seems the issue is likely either the ignitors, coils, pulse generator or killswitch. I don't know anything about electrical systems so I'm learning as I go right now, any tips?

(sorry for double post, first one wasn't showing up)

Get a multimeter and a shop manual and start testing voltages. I'm sorry but we can only suggest common reasons for failure. You're going to have to find and diagnose the actual problem.

Check the fuses too.

Already on it, still learning how to use the multimeter though. To test the pulse generator, i pulled the right panel and disconnected the appropriate wires; the book says to test between the blue and blue-white for the front cylinder and yellow and yellow-white wires for rear - am I correct in assuming they're the two pairs in the same upper connector? Fuses are all good, pulled the seats and tank and getting to the coils.
