Hi Guys,

I've been browsing around the forum for a few weeks now, but decided I should register and hopefully I can help someone out that same way you've helped me out. I'm 23 and have been riding a '86 vt700c since 2008, when my dad passed and I inherited his bike. It's been a great bike for me, and I hope I'll never have to let it go!!

It's got a few issues that I need to take care of, fork seals and cleaning the carb are the most pressing, and the ones I'm most afraid to tackle. I really haven't done anything to the bike other than changing the oil, and would like to be able to do everything myself. Hopefully this winter isn't too cold and I can do those in time for spring!!

good luck. welcome. and I don't think ether one of those are going to cost you a lot of money just man hrs. get a shop manual for your bike first thing.

I will post some pics once I get some free time on the weekends and/or it decides to stay light past 4:30 ... I really hate this winter thing!!

Oh, and sorry for posting this twice. Didn't realize there was a delay on posting intro's, so I didn't think it went thru.
