Howdy. My name's Todd.
After resurrecting a sweet 82 CB900 Custom with my son this summer, I brought home a basket case 85 VT500C. Here's the view in October. ![]() A basket case (literally put the final drive in a bucket for the trip home) with a good title. Paid $125. ![]() Verdict was out on whether to rebuild until removing the plugs and alternator cover. Motor turned over smoothly by hand, and there were no ugly surprises when all the oil drained out. ![]() What was it missing? Seat, both fenders, left side cover, a bazillion small parts, sissy bar and tool box, all turn signals, tachometer, indicator light panel, ignition switch, petcock, taillight and license bracket/light, control levers By the time it's roadworthy, it will have cost me more than it would sell for. But it's a fun hobby right now. More to come in the next few posts. Happy to be here. Todd |
