I'm adding a batwing and Harley hard bags to my '03 ACE.
The Harley hard bags are going to mount straight to my fender rails without much fab at all. I'm going to have to fabricate/modify my windshield mounting brackets for the fairing, but doing the work myself is half the joy I get from having a bike. Everything is at paint right now. Once it all gets back, I'll be putting it all back on. I'll post pics as the project progresses. ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Motorcycle.com Free App

The rear fender will remain stock, but remember I have an ACE. Yours is a Spirit right? The ACE fender is a lot bigger than the Spirit fender. I bout some used Harley hard bags on Craigslist for $150. They're hard to find for a reasonable price, but if you keep your eyes open and search often on Craigslist you can probably find some. I made a mistake and bought some cheapos on eBay first. They were way too small and looked like a joke. My advice - spend the money and get the real deal Harley bags.

There's a shop near me selling this bike for $9500 . I'm pretty sure they are going to charge me about $4000 to do the whole conversion . Lots of money in my opinion . Rather do it myself and save some bucks
