This is the first cruiser I have ever owned. Living in Michigan means that I my own a Shadow Spirit, I'm not going to get to ride it for a couple of months. So joining a Shadow forum was the best way to get to the learn somethings about the bike. I have always own sport type bikes. My other bike at present is a 2007 Yamaha FJR 1300. I really like my FJR, but driving it a long way any more makes the body hurt. So I thought that a cruise maybe a better chose. :smile2:
Hey welcome to the forum Swifty. I know what you mean, I am from the Grand Rapids Mi. area, so my ride is stored for the winter. I ride a spirit to. Can't wait until spring so that I can get back on the road. I hope that you find the shadow is every thing that you hoped it would be.
Hey johnjay you got me mixed up with BigJohnP. I got the old '83 750 and you guys got the newer bikes. No problem as long as they all run good and make smiles down the road.
I hear ya. Bought my Ace tourer after 20 yrs of Ducatis. Old neck fracture doesn't like low bars anymore. I get to ride, and relax. No pain. Low maintenance, and costs. Life is good! Ride on, bro!
