Ive got a nice '86 VT1100 sitting in the shop. I haven't looked in to it yet but is there a specific year the wire wheels bolt on without modification? I don't remember seeing a dual rotor on a newer model wire wheel. The owner wants a bolt on trike kit and doesn't really like the mag look on the bike now.
The bike owner spoke to a guy at Voyager Trikes and he said he had a kit. I personally haven't spoke to anyone there yet. I've never used any of there products but the bike owner said thats the kit he's going with.
I believe Voyager Trike makes the "training wheels" kits. They're not actually trikes. They just add a pair of wheels beside the rear wheel. Looks like the red headed stepchild of a motorcycle and an open trailer. To each their own, but I wouldn't be caught dead riding one...
I would ride with him. Like you said can't down him for not wanting to give up. My father in-law is a disabled retired Marine, left leg is shorter and fused at the knee. He wants a bike so bad so I'm keeping a eye out for him. We all ride what we are physically able to manage and what we can afford. No this bike isn't my in-laws bike lol. But I'd like to find a cheap bike/trike I could get up to par for him either a automatic or put a suicide shift on it for him, but finances don't allow for it at the moment........Such is life I gusse
