Curious about saddle bags

I've looked at Viking bags, but I've read more bad reviews than good. What are y'all using? Only features I want are weather resistant (something that keeps water out) and I need it to lock. Also, I'm not interested in modifying my turn signals to make bags fit.

BTW I have a 2011 Honda Shadow Phantom.

I had a set of Mutazu hard bags on the VTX. They worked well and are cheap.

I just took the Willy and Max bags off my bike, they were too small, but the quality was fantastic. I never got caught in the rain with them so I can't comment on water tightness, but they would do okay I think.

I've got LeatherLyke bags on my 750ACE.
They're hard bags that you can get with or without studs and leather trim.

Not cheap though, but the quality is second to none. They are easily removable, have a keyed lock and are completely waterproof. You can actually use them as a cooler (with ice.)
For the 750ACE, they only come in the smaller size but for other Honda models they come in the larger "Cross Country" style or the standard "Cruiser" style.

This is how they look on my 750ACE:
(perfect match to my Mustang rider and passenger saddles)

Ive got rigid mount saddlemen bags they are not weather tight but serve there purpose and no light relocation required.

Although not lockable, my Willie and Max bags have ridden all day through torrential downpours and stayed dry inside.

I had Mutazu bags on my last bike. Pretty low priced. Not the best quality, but with a little work and reinforcement, they turned out pretty good. They will paint them from the factory. You choose a color from their list.

If you need lockable and water tight, then go with a hard bag like @Scared posted. Leather (or leather like) bags are not very good at either.
