So why Honda Shadows?

I needed something for a third post so I figured I'd ask: Why Shadows?

Why not a Harley? Suzuki? BMW?

I'm sure there are many here who ride other brands but I was just curious as to why you would recommend a Shadow over the alternatives.

they seem to be bullet proof.....my first shadow was a vt700 1986....cost me $500....didnt run....blown main fuse....fixed that...and swapped out the fuse box.....after that.....started it up finally.....it spit water/oil/smoked....you name it.\

....so i changed all the fluids/new air and oil filter/fresh gas/plugs.....and miraculously it stopped smokin and spitting water.....all i ended up doing was replacing a clutch push rod seal that wouldnt stop drippin oil

bullet proof

suzuki doesnt have that exhaust tone i like...bmw and harleys are outta my price range(i like bang for buck rides)...honda and yamaha fit that bill for me,

There are many good reasons to own a Honda Shadow but the most important reason is that you'd find the best motorcycle forum on the web called: HondaShadow.net

I wanted a nice, V-Twin Cruiser and this one was in my budget.

Actually, the other two bikes that were in my budget were also Honda Shadows.

My mother-in-law was a tiny lady and the bike she test rode felt very natural to her. It was beautiful as well. My wife found one after her mother's accident. My wife loved her mom's bike too. The height is nice for her and provides plenty of power from a 750. It definitely had my 800cc C50 beat.

I don't mean to make it sound like a ladies bike. I love her shadow, but I'm too large and feel uncomfortable on it. Otherwise, I might be riding one too.

The Shadow is a great bike. For the money, they are unbeatable. Extremely dependable. The Shadow I had was just a deal that fell into my lap that I couldn't refuse. I no longer ride one, but I do miss it occasionally.

I was in the market for a cruiser, and I really loved the matte black of the Honda Shadow Phantom VT750C2B.
