Made My first post here two months ago about how I'd bought my Phantom but was having a title issue with it. Well VA finally re-issued a good title to the dealer in CT who signed that over to me. This weekend after 5 hours in the DMV on my birthday I got the bike registered. So my Phantom is finally legally mine & legally registered in the eyes of the state of RI.
Now I just need some sunny days over 40 degrees so I can start enjoying it.

Congrats! Nah! You don't need to wait for over 40 degree weather. You just need good "cold weather" gear. Electric gloves, like Gerbings, would be my recommendation. I got a set off eBay for about $80 (regular price is typically $180 new), and when I had trouble with them, contacted Gerbing, and they replaced them for FREE. I've heard, however, that the newer models no longer have the "lifetime warranty" on them, so be careful. They have allowed me to ride down to 13 degrees, so far, and I don't usually even put those on until temps are at or below freezing (32*). If you don't want to spend that much, you can get electric liners to go in your gloves for about $40, and they work almost as good. Another accessory that helped me was hand guards. You can find them for about $60-80 as well, and they keep the wind off your hands, which helps a LOT. Heavy, thick leathers have also made a huge difference in my comfort when riding in cold weather. With the right gear, you can ride in ANY weather!
I like that copper detailing on the spedo housing, the fender rail and jug heads. I'll bet painting the exhaust black would really set the detailing off.
I just got my hands on a phantom as well, so I know how you feel
At any rate, it looks like a great ride, and happy birthday!
Bars up!
Put something exciting between your legs!
