Oil change

Should I run the bike before hand get all the old oil moving around so it will all drain? I bought 3 quarts of oil ness gold it was 2.7. Isthere anything I should add to the oil the bike hasn't been run since September and the previous didntmaintain it very well I don't think. As for the filter just run a little oil on the filter and away we go?some expertise would be great....

Warm it up, then let it sit for a few mins to get most of the oil back to the bottom of the case. And you don't want it hot, you'll burn your hand. Remove the plug and filter. Let it drain until it stops dripping. Oil the seal on the new filter, put it on hand tight and replace the drain plug. Fill her up.

That looks about right to me. I would add to check oil level after you complete the fill. What is Ness Gold?

Don't go over the upper line on dipstick , just blows it into your airbox. When checking level keep bike up straight and don't screw dipstick in , just rest firmly in the filler hole.
