I hope that you have figured it out. But if not two things come to mind the first thing that I thought of. Did you try opening the tank loosen the gas cap while it is starting to run poorly and see if that changes anything. Sometimes the little vent in the cap gets clogged or the one that goes to the tank can get trash in it. The second thing is yes you might need to rebuild the carbs. Sounds like maybe a stuck float.
