Hi,
I got it on last night but things are different on my bike even though I measured my sons bike which is like yours. So it took awhile to get a good mounting spot for the lower part, ended up on the turn signal bar. The clamps fit good and it made for a good angle. I tried using bigger clamps and filing them down but on broke just tightening it so I didn't want to take a chance at that happening on the road. to get it at the hand level it needs to be it sits about 4 inch's or a little more above the headlight which puts the top higher but that seems to be ok when i rode to work today, I just need to find something to fill the gap again. Also its the same width as the old one but just not enough for the hands so I'm going to leave the hand guards on and still thinking about painting the shield like you did, just not sure yet, I kind of like the look it has now but that may change when I fill the gap. I'll get some pictures once I get things figured out.
