    Just wanted to say thanks. tightening the adjuster nut has made a world of diff. this is after I even replaced the wheel and tire with a used one, to no avail. So this info was really appreciated

    Yes that's what I was asking if u have to remove top fork bridge. Same on mine. Thanks for your help

    I don't understand how to remove the locking plate (and replace for that matter) with the top stem nut still on. Doesn't the top stem nut, and then the entire upper fork bridge have to come off before you have access to removing the locking plate from the stem? Can the locking plate just be pulled off to the side somehow?? I'm not really familiar with locking plates..am i thinking about this wrong?

    hey w tightening the steering neck adjuster nut, with that spanner wrench...once you tighten the adjustment nut, do you also have to now retighten the stem nut on top to compensate? Does that make sense? also if so, is it better to just loosen the stem nut first, then tighten the adjuster nut?? thanks a lot
