Hello,
I have never tried a heel toe shifter. I did think about it at the time but I really wasn't having any problems shifting in the traditional way so I went with the Cobra floorboards. I still have plenty of room to get my foot under the shift peg so it has been nothing but positive for me. Keep in mind that you can also raise or lower your shift peg if you need to.
I was just thinking while out for a ride yesterday that those floorboards were the best $240 bucks I spent on the bike. I know I can ride at least three times as far with them than I could with the stock pegs. I do have a bad back so that factors into it for me. The more options I have for foot position the easier it is on my lower back. If I had to give up either the Mustang seat or my floorboards I would give up the seat first. JMHO.
Good luck in your decision.

Hello,
I'm looking into adding floorboards to my 07 Spirit 1100 and read your post about adding the Cobra boards to your bike. I've been debating between the Cobra boards and the MC boards with heel / toe shifter.
How do you find the Cobra boards with the stock shifter, any problems at all like getting your toe with decent size boots on under it?
Do you wish you had gone with the heel / toe shifter?
Thanks
Dan
