Yes you are probably right, circuit diagrams don't actually show all the wires, for instance ground wires are shown as going to ground and 12v wires go straight from fuses or switches, but in reality in order to keep the cost and size of the wiring loom down many wires tap off the same source..

I don't know what bike you have but the colors are mostly the same throughout the range...make up two leads with small aligator clips on each end, one red and one black about 3' long..connect the black lead to the dark green wire/s and the other end to the negative pole of your battery..see if that starts it..keep the red lead for further work if you need it For more information I need to know how many wires you cut and what color they were, I also need to know if the neutral light comes on when you turn the key and if the bike turns over..you didn't have to cut any wires, the wiring comes up through the rear fender and there are bullet connectors to disconnect them..

just cut and removed wiring, tail light and rear turn signals, bike won't start, I figure one of the wires cut needs to be connected or grounded somewhere to complete the circuit... I am waiting on new light, but I need it to start now...advice?...636 346 6233... andras393@gmail.com

Your book began it's journey today! Thanks for sharing it with me. I hope it travels all over North America then one day finds its way back to you with tons of signatures. Maybe this could be the beginning of a new book.
