I'm not sure what you mean by not having forward controls, but the MAC did fit perfectly. We did put high temp red gasket maker sealant on the ends of the exhaust that fit into the engine (just to be sure of no exhaust leaks to burn up a valve). We had to finagle the clamp bracket for the left pipe that's brought under and to the right side of the bike. We used the longest bracket and drilled a hole in the end of it, straightened the L shaped hanger end, and attached it to the rear passenger allen bolt (which attaches to nothing once you take the old stock pipes off). It worked out perfectly. The right pipe clears and runs where the old one did, so there's no clearance issues with the driver peg or brake (where I have my rear foot brake placed it did not need to be adjusted).
