It is a VTwin after all. My Valk has 100 hp. 102 ft.lbs of torque @ the rear but 1800VTX and it are really close in 1/4 mi. times and weigh the about the same. The VTX is also fuel injected.

I for one find Shell 100% unleaded the gives better mpg on my last 3 bikes. Usually 3 @ least mpg better on all three. Don't get to use all the time as the closest Shell is 45 miles away.

Is it possible to add some spacers to allow the lids to open? Never had any issues with LL's when I added the WT on the Spirit because they had enough "standoff" with their mounting system.
