T5 is a 10-30w and 10-30w usually isn't compatible for wet clutch bikes but T6 (5-40w) is.

The left is easiest and yes a new throttle tube maybe needed if old grip removal doesn't go well. Best way to remove (if they are stock) is carefully cut them off with razor knife/blade.

1100 twin pin motor isn't the most pleasant sound just annoyingly loud. Alot of folk have went this route and switched back to stock. Better keep your stock setup if you should do aftermarket pipes....

Well IMO Progressives with stock oil if you ride solo/lighter loads. Single coiled like Racetech for heavier loads/two up riding.
