Plug wires would be my 1st. stop and you can rebuild them for next to nothing otherwise you are looking at $25 per wire from Honda. You can do the spray test on them w/o taking the bike apart.

As long as I select the gear I want at a appropriate speed for that gear no problem. Basically know your own ride. With the Valk and its powerband shifting is less demanding vs the 1100 Spirit.

I had 00' ZR7 that had a out of synch gas gage and I added a resistor to positive wire to the gage and it read perfect as far as gallons loss to the gage after that.
