Put a plastic tarp of some sort on the floor and park the bike over that...keeps moisture from the ground at bay.

Other than that..."They ain't porcelain dolls..." is on the money.

Great bike until the plastic oil pump drive gear goes on you. That was a common issue with the Vulcans. $$$$$ to repair /replace.

I'm a bit more practical.

I love having dual discs up front on my VStar 1300. No worries when riding two up and having to stop a little quicker than anticipated.

Park your bike over a tarp or some plastic sheeting...I use an old shower cutain.
Helps with moisture under the bike.

Clean/replace your air filter...a paper element...
