Geeezzz. It's been a while since we had a good old helmet debate on here.
Let's take care of everything for the month of February on this thread.
The other day I waved at a guy who looked like a 1 %'er, had no helmet, had obnoxiously loud pipes was riding a Harley that had a big fat car tire on it and he just pulled out of a bar parking lot.
That jerk never waved back. What a Harley riding, CT using, helmet less, loud pipe 1 %'er drunk snob he was.
I think I got everything covered with that one didn't I ?

What ? No fat chick on the back with rap tunes blaring from a radio and a leather vest made in Pakistan with an American flag sewn on it that matches the smaller flag on his wallet chained to his obviously stressed belt? Christopher, Christopher, are you slipping, LOL. JIm Mann

NH ( thanks largely to those involved in bikers rights) once again took a stand against infringement on personal rights by defeating a proposed helmet law.
Good job folks

+1 Dave.
BTW, I do so love it that you have your facts! Choice is the only way. I have ridden both ways. Without a helmet I see and her more. That to me is worth alot.

Geeezzz Dave. This isn't your first rodeo here ya know.
You of all people should know that when you mention anything close to the topic of helmet laws, this will happen.
Maybe your age is catching up with you and you just dun fergut fer a minute.
Myself, I used to jump right into the middle of these debates, but I have debated all these issues so many times that now I just sit back, grin and enjoy the ride through the thread.
I do appreciate your update though. Now where in the heck did this all happen ? Rhode Island ? I dun fergut.

Thank goodness! Florida is getting too crowded with people waiting for ogran transplants. Now we can send them to NH instead!
Uh..the vast MAJORITY of fatalities in NH were HELMETED riders..just though you'd like to know..oh and the year before too.
Further at least as far as I know by comments of those who live there both Florida and California have a high rate of stunt riding squids ( funny squids seem to be part of the helmet crowd) and they seem to die and a good percentile rate.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE..Don't go there, you helmet snobs, you just don't have the facts behind you. Simply be grateful that you CAN make a choice and if a helmet seems the right choice for you then fine, I certainly don't begrudge you your RIGHT to wear one, don't try to paint the ORGAN DONOR, or BRAINLESS IDIOT of those of us who choose not to.. reality says something different.
CrazyDave, I haven't even expressed a position about helmet laws, and you don't even know me.
Why are you calling me a snob? Is it because you don't agree with something I wrote, and you don't know how to express yourself like an emotionally mature adult?
Ah so saying sending people to NH for organ transplants is a emotionally responsible adult..I see, you like dishing it out just not taking it.
You also haven't a clue on what you speak on, seeing as NH despite having the highest amount of motorcycle registrations in the US also has one of the lowest rates of MC fatalities despite not having a lid law.
Unlike Florida NH has been lid free for adults for decades ( something to be said for plain old Yankee common sense) and has had only one spike in fatalities of any note.
Last year we dropped the fatality rate yet again.Had you been a true emotionally mature adult your reply would have garnered more respect, as it was I did not bad mouth you personally at all, but rather tried to impart some wisdom as to why your statement was out of line.
If you are an "emotionally mature "as you are trying to convey, then surely if you look at your original throw away cheap comment you will see that you were wrong..
Crazy old dude, all I did was make an off color comment about organ donors. It wasn't a statement for or against helmet laws. As a matter of fact, I think we are better off without helmet laws, so you are preaching to the choir. Actually, you are bullying someone who agrees with you, so you must be off your meds.
Fortunately, I know how to deal with childish bully behavoir. _________________ Jeremy

wow.. you really are emotionally immature aren't you.. you really thought you were being bullied?
Nah, being bullied is having someone shake you down for your lunch money calling a stupid comment for what it was is just that. _________________

I must write this in my will..
In the event that I am in a motorcycle accident while wearing a helmet and it should occur that the accident causes a decapitation then I am directing the executor of my estate to have a separate funeral for both my body and my head. My heads tombstone shall read as follows
HERE LAYS THE HEAD OF CRAZYDAVE
HE WORE A HELMET , IT DID NOT SAVE
STOP MAKING LIVING IN THIS LIFE YOUR ONLY GOAL
