mkutter, the bike is a 93 Shadow 600VLX. Those are the stock bars that mounted straight into the triple tree. I ended up getting some risers from ebay and new bars from a later model Shadow.

Greengoblin.....love your bike!!!!
i love it when my bf and i are holding our helmets in a store and someone will come up to HIM and ask HIM what HE is riding...assuming i am his passenger... makes me smurk everytime.. and then i love the amazement when they find out i ride as well.

Edith, I know exactly what you mean!! When John is riding the old CB750, and I'm on the Tourer...we'll come out of a restaurant or store, and when people see ME getting on the big bike and John getting on the smaller one, you can hear their jaws hit the ground. It's awesome! 
Thanks for the tat comments. I inked them all myself - one leg is all ocean creatures, the other leg is land and air. Then there's assorted dolphin scenes in other areas, too. I used to sling ink, haven't picked up the gun in about 2 years. Too busy painting bikes!
