I'm following paths my God laid for me
I took his hand, I heard him call.......
Then turned and bid farewall to all

I could not stay another day
To laugh, to love, to ride, to work, to play
Tasks left undone must stay that way
I found my peace.....at close of day.

And if my parting left a void
then fill it with remembered joy
A friendship shared, a ride in full gear,
A laugh, a smile, a kiss...
Ah, yes, these I, too, will miss

Be not burdened....deep with sorrow
I wish you sunshine for tomorrows
My life's been full.... I've savored much
Good friends, good times
Winds in my hair, a loved one's clutch

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief
Don't lenghten it now with undue grief
Lift up your hearts and share with me.
My God wants me now... He has set me free
