Not really out of love, just in LUST with a hotter chick...Kinda.
And I may be totally wrong, bigger is not better to some, there is a lot to be said on light bikes, I know a lady here with a very fine VTX 1300R, she loved it, likes the ride, but has grown to hate the weight and wants lighter.
I was messing with you to some extent, but getting off a nice chair and getting into that road couch with gobs of power could be hard to not drool over later.
I hear you! I'd say it doesn't hurt to try but like you said it just might? I really like the way mine is set up now and the light weight but who knows after the knee is fixed weight may not be an issue and who knows what the money situation will be and you make a great point of buying bigger but used to not spend more. There will be lots to think about after those rides, I think!
BTW, my wife says she'd ride more with me if I had a trike!

Went out and rode 50 miles. I was hoping to get a fall foliage shot for the get out and ride game, but I realized that 90% of the leaves came down with the wind/rain storm last weekend so that was a bust. I did get to try out a new pair of chaps...like them. It was 45*F out with a good wind so I was dressed in layers. Had the heated grips turned up and wish I had the heated gloves on...next time.

My hubby did a favor for our friend who had surgery and rode his fully-dressed Harley home from the shop after being winterized. The problem? He liked it. My husband who has always said he never would want a Harley is now saying that he wouldn't rule one out if he were looking. Greeeaaatttt..... Hahaha! Just when I thought we were going to early retire.

They make a great bike Bethany...hard to resist. The way I look at retirement is to do what you love, and for me that includes riding. Look at it as a retirement investment. Don't fight him on what he loves...as long as it includes you.

It's all good...he can ride whatever he wants to ride, as long as I get an equal amount of new bikes.
