Had a beautiful winter's day so went for a long ride. Took in some of my favourite twisties and some favourite fast roads. Had an absolute blast.

Then went to a mate's place with some garage space, parked her, drained the carbs, said bye to her. closed the door and did something terribly offensive - climbed into the cage and left her behind.

Still, with the rain we're now having, she'll spend the next few months in the dry rather than shivering half-naked under the tarp that barely covers her.

And I have some spare cash so my other 86 is cliser to breathing again!

But no riding for a few months makes me a sad Kiwi

Gassed mine up and rode to work. Having to go to work sucks but getting to ride to work makes it better.

I didn't do anything to my bike today.

I DID buy a backpack so I can put my jacket in it for the ride home from work. (It's chilly in the morning)

Not much today, stripped the burnt wires from my stator and it's under vacuum in my pressure cooker turned vacuum chamber, so any moisture will "boiled" off after washing the core and soaking in hot water and detergent to remove all the oil, so that the new varnish will stick.

Been waiting to take a nice leisurely ride but when it's not raining it 90 degs with humidity that could choke a horse.

“My father says almost the wholeworld’s asleep. Everybody you know, everybody you see, everybody you talk to. He says only a few people are awake. And they live in a state of constant total amazement.”

“ From the Movie ‘Joe Vs The Volcano’

Put on a new mustang seat on my wife's VLX. That is truly a two person job! She had to sit on it for me to start the mounting bolts. She went on a shopping spree so I'm gonna be busy this weekend! Pics to come.

if it ain't broke, fix it till it is

Good guys ride black bikes

I dug into the carburetor and started doing some much needed cleaning. Looking at different parts online!

Moved the rear tail lights on my VLX so I can put on the hard saddlebags that have been in a box for 2 months. Hope to get them on this weekend.
