Ready to Roll

Got a new 2 year sticker for my license plate and insurance for the year.

I had to take pictures for the insurance company as the bike is 20 year old and I guess they want to make sure it isn't a rust heap.
The agent wrote back and said "It's a gorgeous bike."
I guess that's not bad for a 20 year old pretty much stock appearing VT750CD3 ACE. (-:

Ok but do I clean the rust off first, or just colour over with the marker? Thanks!

Maybe with a Q tip a little vinegar on the chip rust area to stop the rust, a little water to get that neutralized, then a touch up.
If it had been waxed take a little bit of acetone, or alcohol first.

For Christmas my son got me some smoked lenses and switchback LEDs for the front. One bulb was bad, so I sent them back. Put the replacements in today and the relay to prevent hyper flash.

Installed my new cooling fan temp switch and made a new set of spark plug wires, huge difference, had a bad wire so it was only running on three plugs.

This morning replaced the left side engine gasket, hopefully no more oily boot. Gotta wash it so I can tell if it worked.

Very. I got it from VTXDaymaker.com. He makes an adjustable mounting ring for them. Good price too.

I studied the wiring diagrams and identified how/where I'm going to splice light bars in. Very excited.

Replaced the thirty five year old fuel lines, mounted the custom air filter assembly to the plenum and mount the upper tank hopefully for the last time till fall, next will be wiring the taillights.
