I need a weekly reminder, to check in here and thank and re-thank our Veterans, as more of my heroes join HSN, all the time.

I often get busy and forget the debt we OWE them.

Vietnam Veteran here

Served as a Medic with the 2nd Battalion, 94th Artillery on the DMZ Vietnam. DaNang, Quang Tri. US Army 1969-1970.
1970-1971, Ludwigsburg, Germany. 7th Medical Brigade.

I'm against those who give vent to their loquacities by extraneous, bombastic circumlocutions.

I ride an 1983 Honda VF750 Sabre
Son rides an 84 VT700 Shadow

I already posted mine and my sons but I want to put a shout out of praise for my son, we are so proud of him. For the last month he's been in NCO training and came over today to see us after he just got back. He scored 2nd out of a little over 200 people in the training class, he was the youngest in the class, 20, most of the others were over 27. He missed 1st by.1 percent, if he would have gotten just one more question correct he would have made first and automatic E-5! so now he still has to wait til early next year to get E-5 which is still awesome because he's only been in 2 years now, so doing great!!!!!

In new home!

Fun days huh ?
I spent a good bit of time In '68. near by , out side LZ Stud NW of Quang Tri , 4th Marines. Doing patrols trying to keep Charlie from getting into Mortar range and supplied radio men for FO's into Cambodia border area. Lived for helicopter drops with mail from what we thought were our girlfriends.

But it wasn't all bad times when we weren't on patrol. Bunch of wet behind the ears kids really. Shots of some of the comforts of home. We used PRC-25 's . Olive Drab. We called them Prick 25's . About 30 lbs plus two spare batteries of 6 lb. each. Today you could put just as good a transceiver in your pocket. But they sure worked calling for help from your guys.

@SpyderJames Since you were MP at Fort Knox, I gotta ask. Is the gold there or not?

Thank you so much for your service, whether you answer or not.
