Nearest I can figger, Brer Tom tbfoto lives just over 200 miles from here.
Which doesn't rule out a road trip, if he needs us.
Tom would never ask, so we better delegate a local brother, @ firehawk ,
to let us know the actual needs.
And I'll bet he will.

I agree. Firehawk can asses it and let us know what he needs and when he needs it. We'll get it done. We could do a group ride up there and all just pitch in and get some stuff done.

I know your pain

I can't cut grass or anything that has to do with walking or pushing, I pay for it big time the next day. Can't sit very long either because it just starts throbing.
So please pray for healing or at least to be able to get some things done. The recent surgery I had didn't do the job, just made it worse because whatever was all cleaned out was actually cushioning and now it's not there so bone on bone with nothing behind the kneecap. After getting back from our trip to AZ it took two days before I could move much at all and when we got there it took a good day of just rest before I could go anywhere with the family.
Same as above, I don't want to keep complaining but thought I'd put it out there for prayer, the more the better!
Thanks!
Prayer lifted...
I know your pain...
I have endurance problem on my injuries also...
Having fully healed, (as good as it will be) the pain persists...
When Y`all read about us having worked on various volunteerism, be knowing I ain`t able to walk for two days afterward...

Local folk come out to help whenever needed too...
There was a crew what came out to rebuild our greenhouse, cool seal the shed and mow whilst I was bummed up back in the day...
I`m just "giving back" whenever I do this...

Did not ride....

Father in law slipped and fell early this morning. Mother in law called 911 at 1:00am and by 4:00am was told to notify family..
He has a none recoverable brain injury and is in a coma on a ventilator. Dr issued a DNR and suggested puling the plug.
So I spent all day getting things together for the trip to CT for the wife and kids (21 and 29). Wife and daughter are on plane now.
I will check policy at work and go up later this week. Son will be going up tomorrow.

Most likely they will pull the plug tomorrow and have the funeral on Friday.

I may not be on the forums for a while dealing with this...

Sorry if this is high jacking the thread. If it needs to be moved or removed go ahead...

I've thought about making the trip up to Lafayette this week to see Tom. Only problem is, I don't know how well he can get around, like outside the house. If he's struggling with pain, etc... I don't want him to feel he has to get out just to see me.

Also, as of now we don't know if the insurance company is going to total the bike or not. Might not be any bike to fix if they do unless Tom makes the decision to buy it back from them.

I was also wondering about other stuff, like mowing the lawn, etc... I didn't know Tom had a brother until this happened. He must live close (don't know for sure) as he took pictures of the bike, so he apparently has him to help out some too.

I'll PM him later today or tomorrow and see if there's anything I/we can do for him.

If you see this Tom, PLEASE let us know if there is anything we can do for you. DON'T be afraid to ask.
