Painting final drive housing?

Hey guys I was wondering if any one of you have painted your rear shaft drive differential housing? (The big round thing that the rear tire attaches to)
if you have, what paint did you use or is there a reason why you should not?

Thanks
T. Pot.

Can't say for sure. Never tried it. Mine are powder coated.

I recently painted my Lower fork tubes with appliance epoxy and was really pleased with the results, and was curious if it would hold up on the rear shaft drive housing??

I don't have that answer... but clever on the tubes, I like that. Pics?

Sometimes it seems like I'm arguing, that's just how I work out a solution:.. The other times I'm arguing.

Painted items

Here are a few pics of my painting projects. I've made myself a redneck bike lift and a poor man's paint booth, as i unfortunately do not have a garage at the moment.
I've painted the lower forks, the spokes of front wheel, and the front brake rotor. I have also painted a few other items with the appliance epoxy and will post more pics / better pics as i start to re-assemble.

Here in South Carolina, we ride in the winter and work on bikes in the summer. Haha...it's just too [email protected] HOT to ride. Hook up some fans and a cooler of beer and work on the bike all night!!
