Do they really understand?

"What do you want to do today?" she asked.
"Go for a ride."
"Where to?"
"Nowhere, just go for a ride."
"That's nice. Where are you going? Anywhere special?"
"No where special. Just wanna go for a ride."
"I'll follow. Let me get dressed."
"Never mind. It looks like it might rain."

Yeah, Ann & I put on a bunch of miles together too @CrazyDave ...
Often times, she`ll be busy in the yard at sunset, I`ll ride up next to her, blow her a kiss and head out...
She knows the need to be alone....
AND she enjoys the sunset too, doing what she likes
She doesn`t straddle the saddle, but follows in the "support vehicle" whenever we travel to and from meetings, meet ups, Biker Sundays etc...
She`s our Membership Director for ABATE of GA & our District 13 also, We RIDE!!!

Some DO Understand @Steve D.

Mine does. I think she enjoys riding more than me sometimes. Rain or shine, she's in.

Mine does. Doesnt matter where to, how far, or the weather, shes always ready to jump on. I think she gets more worked up because i am able to take off work and go when she cant.

Lol mine used to be the same way, she was convinced when I went for a ride I had a destination in mind. Little did she know I rarely even had a direction in mine let alone a destination. Then came our anniversary........i took the day off and told her I was dropping off the grandson to school and conning back for her. I let her pick out of North, south, east, or west and said if you see a spot that interest her tap me and point and we can stop off there. When we got home she understood.

It's not the destination, it's the ride. If you are lucky enough to have a significant other who gets it, and better yet wants to join in you are blessed. Mine does neither... her favorite comment after I get off the bike is "Ok if you like driving so much now you can drive me to the mall". Driving? Really? Yeah ... it can't be explained, it has to be experienced.

Mine just gets it. She has't been out with me yet, but she just knows. I ride to find center. Rarely do I have a destination in mind, usually don't even know the direction until I get to the end of my street. She sees the sunshine, and she knows I'm gonna ride, and never questions it.
