Got the new bars on. Much better than the drag bars.
Also replaced the throttle tube and fixed the choke. I ran out of time to go get the t-fitting with working so late. I’ll pick that up at lunch tomorrow. I also recievef the auxiliary tank to help get it fine tuned. Boy that’ll save some effort putting on and taking off the tank.
Plan is to see if I can get her to idle on her own tomorrow.
I forgot how much fun it is to wrench on a bike.

So today after some carb work and installing the exhaust with the new gaskets I was able to get her running. Idles on her own even. I seem to have a clutch issue as it doesn't engage. I'll dig into that next what I replace all the gaskets. She does run though and I reinstalled the seat and tank to get a feel for what she really looks like.
Today was a good day.

If the hydraulic clutch master cylinder tiny return port is clogged it will hold pressure and the clutch won't engage. Clean the fluid out with a rag and run a sewing needle through the port and it may fix it.

Sweet! Thanks for the heads up. I ended up flushing the fluid and then power bleeding and it’s working much better now.
Now the next problem...
I want to cruise it around the neiborhood but I can’t find the coolant drain bolt so obviously the radiator is empty. The P.O. pulled it and it’s not in the box-o-parts that he handed over.
I need to figure out what size bolt I need and can’t find much info. Still digging around but I may have to head over to the stealership to get one.

Glad to hear the clutch is fixed.

But I don't think any of these radiators have a drain on them.
Maybe you are missing the temp sender for the radiator fan on the lower rear of the radiator?

The drain is actually one on the bolts on the water pump according to the manual. It’s exactly where it’s dumping when I try to fill. I wish the manual called out the bolt size.

The drain bolt on the water pump is a 10 MM head, so a 6 MM thread size. On mine at least.

It screws in to a cavity on the lower part of the pump to drain.

I wanted to get it done faster so I pulled the lower hose off the pump and let her go.
