Having problems getting tires.

My bikes OEM tires are both Radial, however the tires that were on it when I purchased it were Radial in front and Bias in back. When looking to purchase new ones I was told to never mismatch these, however in the 3 or 4 years I have owned this bike I have never had an issue with the mismatch.

The problem is, I cannot find a set of tires in the right size that are both Radial. I was looking at the Metzeler ME888 but I can only find either both Bias or I can get Bias in back and Radial in front. My only other option I have found is to buy the OEM tires which are Dunlop D206.

What would you guys recommend? What are your thoughts on these two options?

1999 Honda Shadow VT1100T

Start by telling us what kind of motorcycle you have. It's not in your profile, so we don't know.

Put a car tire on the rear as many guys do.

Only a biker knows why a dog sticks his head out of a car window.

I have a radial on the front and a bias ply on the rear and there is no problem. The tread pattern is what should be the same or very similar.

I've heard of people doing this but I'm not sure how I feel about that to be honest. Have you ever done it? Would it cause any kind of issue?

Well I just ordered the Metzeler ME888 with Radial in front and Bias Ply in back. I hope there isn't a problem. Thanks
