old dad UPDATE - OUR FRIEND HAS PASSED

Just been contacted by Mark, he is currently in the hospital due to having a stroke. Our text conversation was short as he indicated that texting is difficult and his speech is slow. Mark is a man of integrity and has done so much for the forum and its members over the years. Please reciprocate all he has given us by saying a prayer, sending healing thoughts, or just wishing him well.

Stroke's are hitting a lot of folks for some reason right now...
one of my customer's stepdad had a clogged artery in his neck...
he was supposed to be taking High Blood Pressure Meds,
and Cholesterol Meds...but wasn't because they upset his stomach.
So he had a stroke last week also. Neck vein was heavily clogged.
He can barely talk and is paralyzed on his right side...only 49 years old.

Once you get a HBP diagnosis, it's really important to take the meds,
and have all your arteries checked...and yeah, that part hurts.
Catheter inspection is a royal pain...but it can save your life!
The bruises only last for a few days ;)

Also very important is a serious change of diet. Backing off all the
bad stuff...which tastes so good! Cheese & fatty foods have to be reduced.
Sucks, but you either wanna live longer, or ya don't!

Prayers sent, Stroke's are a tough recovery road!

Mark/Old Dad, follow the instructions, get well soon and bounce back.
Prayers and best wishes sent your way.
