Hello, my bike is a 2003 Shadow Spirit 750 DC. (not the ACE or the Aero model) .I've had it a week now and like most things about it. However, the OEM driver foot pegs are not as comfortable for me as I would like them to be. I wear a size 13 shoe. The stock pegs seem to be too high for me to get as much of my foot onto the peg as I would like because there is not enough room between the pegs and the brake and gearshift pedals. (I wear regular shoes, not heavy boots.)
I would prefer to have floorboards or even adjustable Koryakyn pegs installed. The aim would be to have the pegs or floorboards lower than the stock ones. Maybe an inch to 1.5 inches. A second possibility would be to have LONGER pegs, by about an inch and a half.
The OEM pegs are attached to the OEM "peg holder" by an unusual fastener which I can't describe except to say it looks difficult to change them out.
Anyone who has improved this situation described for this model bike, please chime in with what you did to achieve it...
Many thanks...
Grace + Peace,
