Colorado Meet N' Greet slowly coming together.......

OK!!!

Lonestarrrider and I have been emailing and we're meeting in Childress, Texas Friday morning the 29th for a ride in to Trinidad, Co.

Any Texans want to ride with us?

The plan is to meetup with the Swarmkeeper's that weekend!

Anyone's else up for this event?

I am gonna try and make it. I threw the idea out to my better half the other day and although she probably won't make the ride, it is usually not a problem for me to blast away. That's my long weekend off, but I go back on call Sunday night, even though Monday is a holiday. I've got some vacation days to burn, so I'll see what happens. If I don't take vacation days, I'll need to head home on Sunday am. Where is Childress? north of Amarillo?

Please lay the details out. I would love to join in the fun, only issue here is the friggin DNC has us working 12-16 hours a day, and I can't go as far as Trinidad that week. Would love to hook up if things end up near Denver though.

Terry, Childress is southeast of Amarillo about 120 miles on US 287. Hunnus and I are going to meet up there then make our way to Trinidad on the scenic back roads. If you want to add a couple miles to your trip meet up with us in Sliverton and we'll ride through Palo Duro Canyon on the way to Colorado.

I'll do some mapping and planning and see what I come up with and go from there. I was kinda thinking of running pretty much straight north out of Hobbs thru Clovis and some backroads up to Logan and on to Mosquero and to Springer to Las Vegas.

Excellent route Terry, I would suggest making a left hand at Roy to NM State Hwy 120 and ride through the Canadian River breaks. You'll pickup I-25 at Wagon Mound, not a bad ride to Trinidad from there.
